You have reached the official Website of the Swiss Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, the scientific society and professional association of clinical pharmacologists in Switzerland. Our Society belongs to the Swiss Society of Pharmacology and Toxicology (SSPT).
   Our Society is the respondent for the medical discipline of clinical pharmacology and toxicology towards the Swiss Medical Association (Foederatio Medicorum Helveticorum, FMH). It determines the corresponding postgraduate training program and delivers specialisation diplomas for both MDs and PhDs.
   Our Society represents the Swiss clinical pharmacologists and toxicologists in various international organisms, and holds contacts with similar societies in other countries. It is a member society of the European Association of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (EACPT).
   Finally, our Society aims to defend the professional interests of its members, to provide them with various services, to promote their teaching and research efforts, and to encourage by this way an optimal use of medicinal drugs for the medical management of patients.

   The aims of this Website are to present the Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology to our medical colleagues and other interested persons.    This Website contains regularly updated information on the activities of our Society. It announces the Statutory Assemblies of the Society and various Conferences and Workshops organised in our discipline. You will also find here a list of Consulting Services offered by public institutions in Switzerland for clinical pharmacology and toxicology problems arising in human medicine. The members of our Society are also invited to use this Website to advertise about Research Facilities and Job Opportunities at their centres.
   Finally, the Website contains the Swiss regulation about the certification in the discipline of clinical pharmacology and toxicology for both MDs (FMH Specialist in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology) and PhDs (Clinical Pharmacologist SKPT). It publishes the agenda of acknowledged Conferences and Workshops for continuous education and the calendar of Speciality Examinations for MDs.
